Terezin

Terezin was a site worth seeing. It is not often that someone can go and actually see the atrocities that occurred at a concentration camp. We also visited the museum that correlated with the ghetto (ethnic camps inside the city) nearby the concentration camp. The concentration camp was placed inside a former fortress built by the Austrians in the middle 18th century.

  1. The ghetto museum was very interesting. The most touching exhibit in the museum was the drawings and poems that the children created who lived in the ghetto, many were unable to reach adulthood due to the atrocities committed by the Nazi regime.

  2. It was also interesting to see the map in the Ghetto museum that showed the other camps that the Nazis ran throughout Europe.

  3. The drawings that the kids drew in the ghetto showed great emotion and had an image of what they were going through at that time.
